Set at the base of the Dhanamayyagutta hill in the stunning granite belt of Addakal (Mahbubnagar district), this program blends the thrill of climbing with the joy of community, fresh air, and back-to-basics living. Expect rappelling, bouldering, wilderness games, shelter building, fire making, navigation skills, nature walks, and outdoor cooking — all under expert supervision, in a safe, beautiful, and eco-conscious setting.

Day 1 – Explore, Learn & Get Grounded

Theme: Connection, Orientation & Challenge

6:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Arrival & Settling In

  • Arrive at The Outdoor Project campsite, located at the base of the striking granite hill of Dhanamayyagutta, Addakal
  • Welcome by our instructor team, followed by registration and allocation of tents (triple-sharing)
  • Light refreshments and orientation about the place, safety rules, and ground conduct

9:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Intro to Outdoor Adventure & Skills

  • Ice-breaker games and team formation
  • Learn the basics of mountaineering knots — essential for climbing and rescue scenarios
  • Try your hands (and feet!) at rappelling on natural rock faces under instructor guidance — building courage, balance, and trust
  • Introduction to climbing gear and how to use it safely

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Lunch

  • Fresh, healthy vegetarian lunch with seasonal vegetables, rice, roti, dal, salad, and fruit

2:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Survival Skills & Forest Immersion

  • A guided walk into the local granite-scrub forest ecosystem, learning about birds, plants, and wildlife that call this place home
  • Learn how to make temporary shelters, light a campfire, and navigate natural terrain without digital tools
  • Hands-on experience in basic survival scenarios using limited resources

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Sunset Circle & Reflection

  • Climb up for a panoramic view of the landscape at sunset
  • Evening circle-up to reflect on what was learned, what was felt, and how the day challenged comfort zones
  • Share stories and connect with fellow participants

7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Campfire & Dinner

  • Delicious veg dinner served hot — simple, hearty, and fulfilling

Day 2 – Practice, Lead & Breakthrough

6:00 AM – 7:00 AM: Wake-Up Walk & Nature Connect

  • Start the day with a mindful forest walk — watch the land come alive, feel the crisp morning air
  • Optional bird watching and nature journaling moments

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM: Breakfast

  • Simple, nourishing breakfast (poha/upma, eggs/paneer, fruit, tea/coffee)

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Challenge Games & Outdoor Scenarios

  • Team-building challenges designed to build leadership, coordination, trust, and emotional intelligence
  • Physical and mental tasks — some involve working blindfolded, some under pressure
  • Emphasis on communication, listening, and decision-making under stress

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Final Circle & Learning Takeaways

  • Closing circle — share what changed, what was surprising, what you’re taking back
  • Brief journaling or creative reflection activity
  • Acknowledgment and certification for all participants

2:00 PM: Departure

  • Say your goodbyes and head back to Hyderabad — tired, perhaps sore… but energized, bonded, and inspired.

Things to Pack for the Addakal Climbing Workshop

This isn’t a luxury resort — this is real adventure. So pack smart, light, and for comfort. Here’s your go-to list:

Clothing

  • 2 quick-dry t-shirts
  • 1 full-sleeve shirt (sun protection)
  • 1 pair of trekking pants/track pants
  • 1 sweatshirt/light fleece (mornings and nights can be breezy)
  • Buff/scarf/balaclava – for neck and wind protection
  • Undergarmets as needed
  • Cap/hat and sunglasses
  • Extra set of clothes for return journey
  • A rain jacket or poncho (just in case)

Not at all. This program is beginner-friendly and designed for everyone from kids to adults. You’ll be guided by certified instructors every step of the way.

Anyone aged 5 to 60 can join. The program is adjusted depending on age and fitness level. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Yes. Safety is our top priority. The site is well-guarded and fenced, instructors are trained in first aid and outdoor risk management, and the team includes female facilitators as well.

The campsite is at Addakal village, around 120 km (approx. 2.5 hrs drive) from Hyderabad, surrounded by granite outcrops and forested trails.

Yes. Pickup and drop from Hyderabad (specific location to be shared) is part of the package.

Yes — clean western toilets and wash areas are available on site. Hygiene is well-maintained.

We provide simple, fresh vegetarian meals, plus snacks, fruits, and safe drinking water. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, let us know beforehand.

Nope. We provide everything — ropes, harnesses, helmets, gloves, and safety systems. You just need comfortable clothes and shoes.

You can if you want, but we provide all accommodation and bedding. Tents are triple-sharing, clean, and cozy.

There may be limited connectivity at the campsite. We encourage a digital detox during the program. Emergency contact will be available.

The program runs in most weather conditions unless it's unsafe (like heavy rain or lightning). In such cases, alternative indoor/team-building activities are conducted.

Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance are eligible for full credit toward a future workshop. Within 7 days, we try to accommodate you in a future batch, subject to availability. No refund.

Yes. We ensure female-only tents for women and girl participants, and the presence of female facilitators throughout the program.
